Lowland League 18-19

The Geosonic Lowland League was instituted in 2013 and sits immediately below Scottish League Two in the SFA’s “pyramid”, parallel with the Highland League.

The League champions play off against the Highland champions for the right to challenge League Two’s bottom club for a place in the SPFL. Edinburgh City became the first club to win promotion via this route in 2016.  Spartans lost to Highland League champions Cove Rangers last season.

There are currently fifteen member clubs who play each other home and away to give a programme of 28 games.

Kelty Hearts are a new member for 2017-18, replacing Hawick Royal Albert, who have been relegated to the East of Scotland League.  Selkirk were a sixteenth member club but they resigned their membership on August 28, 2018.
