The Southern Counties FA Alba Cup is contested by the ten clubs in the Southern Counties FA who are not full members of the Scottish Football Association.
This year, this equates to an entry of only seven clubs. Since the 2019-20 tournament, when ten clubs took part, Dumfries YMCA have folded, Bonnyton Thistle moved to the West of Scotland League and Heston Rovers are sitting this season out.
It is similar to the established Alex Jack Cup operated by the East of Scotland FA and the new Strathclyde Cup in the West. The winners of the three tournaments will play off for a place in the 2022-23 Scottish Cup.
Mid Annandale won the cup when it was last competed for in 2019-20. The tournament format is straight knockout.
