SWPL 2 – 21-22

SWPL 2 is the second tier of women’s football in Scotland.

It contains seven clubs who will play each other three times to give a league programme of eighteen matches.   Prior to the COVID pandemic, SWPL was a summer league, but after the 2020 season was completed in the summer of 2021, a new winter season was scheduled.

Partick Thistle were due to play in SWPL2 this season to make it an eight team league, however they were promoted to the top level when Forfar Farmington pulled out of SWPL1 before the season began.
